Urinetown

Presented by Meadowvale Music Theatre
Urinetown is a musical satire of the legal system, capitalism, social irresponsibility, populism, environmental collapse, privatization of natural resources and bureaucracy.

In a Gotham-like city, a terrible water shortage, caused by a 20-year drought, has led to a government-enforced ban on private toilets. The citizens must use public amenities, regulated by a single malevolent company that profits by charging admission. Amid the people, a hero decides that he’s had enough and plans a revolution to lead them all to freedom!

Hilariously funny and touchingly honest, Urinetown provides a fresh perspective on one of America’s greatest art forms.

Come From Away

Presented by Theatre Unlimited Performing Arts
Come From Away is a profoundly human musical that transforms one of the darkest moments in modern history into a soaring celebration of kindness. Set in the small town of Gander, Newfoundland, the story follows the real events of September 11, 2001, when 38 planes carrying nearly 7,000 stranded passengers were unexpectedly diverted to this remote community. Over five days, locals opened their homes, schools, and hearts to people from around the world, forging unlikely friendships and unforgettable acts of generosity.

With a driving Celtic folk score and a book that balances humor, heartbreak, and hope, Come From Away reminds audiences of the extraordinary compassion ordinary people can show in extraordinary times. It is a musical that leaves audiences laughing, crying, and ultimately believing in the goodness that connects us all.
